Privacy Policy
Effective October 2026. This policy explains how Tappy Solutions LLC ("Tappy Pro", "Tappy", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use tappypro.com, app.tappypro.com, Tappy cards and QR codes, and the text messages sent through Tappy.
Who this covers
Tappy is used by local businesses ("Businesses") to collect Google reviews and to run VIP text clubs for their customers. This policy covers:
- Business owners and staff who have a Tappy account; and
- Customers of those Businesses who tap a Tappy card, scan a Tappy QR code, or join a Business's VIP list ("Customers").
When a Customer joins a Business's VIP list, that Business decides what to send, and Tappy sends it on the Business's behalf.
Information we collect
From Businesses: business name, owner and staff names, email addresses, mobile numbers, business address and time zone, and the settings you choose. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
From Customers: the mobile number you enter when you join a VIP list, a record of your consent (the date and time, the exact wording you agreed to, and whether you joined by card, QR code or link), whether you have opted out, and the texts sent to and received from your number.
When a card or QR code is used: the time, the link used, the type of device (for example iPhone or Android) and the approximate country. We do not collect precise location.
Website and app: we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms from misuse. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To provide Tappy: send sign-in codes and links, deliver the texts a Business sends, record opt-ins and opt-outs, and show Businesses their results.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal and phone carrier requirements, including keeping proof of consent.
- To provide support when you contact us.
Text messages and mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share mobile numbers only with the service providers that deliver our messages (such as our texting provider and phone carriers), and only so the messages can be delivered.
You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- With the Business whose VIP list you joined (it is that Business's list);
- With service providers who help us run Tappy, such as hosting, database, payment processing, text message delivery and email delivery providers, and, if a Business uses our writing assistant, an AI text provider that receives only the review or draft being worked on. They may use the information only to provide their service to us;
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the public; and
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under the same protections described here.
How long we keep information
We keep account information while an account is active and for a reasonable time after it closes. We keep records of consent and opt-outs for as long as the law and phone carriers require, so that an opt-out is always honored. Review text fetched from Google is refreshed or removed within 30 days.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and limited, logged access for staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
Customers: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from that Business. To ask about or remove your information, contact the Business or us at the address below.
Businesses: you can update your account details in the app, and you can ask us to close your account and delete your data, subject to the records we must keep by law.
Children
Tappy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always at tappypro.com/privacy. If changes are significant, we will notify Businesses by email or in the app.
